BASP - Outdoor Emergency First Aid

A 16 hour, practical, scenario based course designed as an introduction to first aid in an outdoor or remote environment. The course is very practical and the Trainer uses a mixture of outdoor scenarios to simulate injuries found in a variety of outdoor incidents. During these scenarios, you experience being a first responder and a casualty giving a more rounded learning experience.

Join our two-day emergency first aid course to learn how to handle emergencies and casualties when leading or participating in outdoors activities. You’ll learn through a combination of practical indoor and outdoor sessions including a Basic Life Support skills assessment to gain a certificate valid for 3 years and supporting NGB qualifications.

British Orienteering - Teaching Orienteering

British Orienteering has developed a Teacher training pathway aimed at teaching through schools and outdoor education, by people who need to know the basics of Orienteering instruction but do not wish to proceed to be assessed after the training.

Caving (no vertical pitches) Permit Training

This course is designed to teach the specific skills needed to lead a group in a cave system with no vertical pitches. Both training and assessment courses use caves in North Yorkshire.
