Original Outdoor Experience

ORIGINAL OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE

Immersed in the natural surroundings of our adventure centres and with the guidance of our instructors, pupils will develop tangible skills that are useful in both the outdoors and, importantly, back in the classroom. Our partners at Learning Away have shown that outdoor learning in this way has a direct impact on behaviour, collaborative working and attainment. Whether working as a team to cook a meal over an open fire, or reflecting on individual performance and adapting technique to score a bull’s eye in an archery session – this is the essence of what Scouting and school residentials are all about

Likewise this school experience is fully catered however pupils will cook at least one meal themselves. This adds context and relevance to skills such as fire lighting.
