Archery GB Instructor Award

The Archery GB Instructor Award is the new entry level training course for people working in leisure, recreation and educational environments. This course will be delivered by accredited Archery GB tutors. Participants do not need previous experience of archery.

Target sports

The course covers topics including:

- Safety
- Shooting technique
- Risk Assessment
- Games and competitions
- Coaching and teaching
Maintaining equipment

The course will mainly be practical but will also include some theory sessions. The course will include a practical assessment to receive the award.

You must attend the entire course to complete the award.

Self-catering accommodation is available.

In order to lead archery sessions within Scouting you will also need an Archery permit .

Archery Permit Training and Assessment

This two day course provides the necessary training and assessment for candidates to achieve the archery leadership permit for recurve bows.

Bell Boating B1 Training and Assessment Permit

This two day course will train and assess candidates to lead Scout groups in bell boating activities.  Permits are restricted to class B1 waters.  Candidates should be aware of all criteria for assessment detailed on the Scout Association website.

British Canoeing - Bellboat Helm Award

The bell boat helm award is aimed at coaches, youth leaders and others who wish to introduce and develop paddlers on bell boats for recreation and sport. Bell boat helms may operate on sheltered water including to include slow moving rivers and quiet canals, small areas or larger lakes.

Cost

£150 per person (Fordell Firs) - Cost includes transport to Loch Ore Meadows from Fordell Firs, camping at Fordell Firs (Scout Association members only). Food is not included, so please bring a packed lunch.
