Yr Hafod

Yr Hafod
The sky’s the limit!
Get trained or come to stay - you decide! Yr Hafod is located in Snowdonia National Park in the Ogwen Valley and is flanked by majestic mountains on either side, which makes it a perfect place for to stay for a mountain adventure with your group or to receive training and assessment to allow you take others hill walking or rock climbing.
Yr Hafod runs permit training and assessment courses, Explorer adventure weekends, open DofE Gold Expeditions and First Aid courses.
If that’s not enough for you, we also run the Mountain Training Mountain Leader Award, Hill & Moorland Leader Award, Rock-Climbing Instructor Award and the Hill Skills and Mountain Skills personal skills awards. If that’s still not enough for you then you can join one of our weekends for introduction to the mountains or a guided walk experience.
All our courses are subsidised for Scouts volunteers and our staff are keen to pass on their knowledge in a fun and informative way.
