FACILITIES AND ACCOMMODATION

Camp or lodge? We've got it all.

On-site camping

With a mix of woodland and grassed camping areas, there are 48 acres to satisfy any size group. With water points available throughout the site and a large toilet and shower block situated centrally within the camping area, you’ll feel comfortable wherever you are.

Equipment Hire

Don't worry about bringing lots of bulky equipment with you...we'll make it easy for you by hiring tents, patrol boxes, mess tents, marquees, tables and benches. Firewood and alter fires are available all year round too!

Young people are invited to paddle, climb and think their way through a series of exciting challenges, from canoeing and archery to high ropes and orienteering.

1-4 nights in our lodges or tented village.

Why? Form strong working relationships between teachers and pupils; develop initiative and self-reliance.

Fordell is perfectly located for visiting the very best of Scotland’s towns and cities, cultural and historic attractions and coast and country landscapes. Scotland’s capital Edinburgh is just a short train journey across the famous Forth Rail Bridge, and St Andrews, Glasgow and Stirling can be reached within an hour. 

  • Fife and Edinburgh both offer amazing beaches and coastal walks.
  • Deep Sea World and Edinburgh Zoo are around a 20-minute drive away for fun, educational days out.
  • You’ve got an excellent choice of historic landmarks close by, including Edinburgh Castle, Dunfermline Abbey, Stirling Castle, Linlithgow Palace or Falkland Palace and many more.
  • Combine a camp at Fordell with some fun days out soaking up the culture, comedy and street entertainment of the famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.
