Young Leader Training Weekend

This training weekend is an amazing opportunity for Young Leaders to achieve the training requirements of the role through a combination of leadership training and practical outdoor activities.

The course will introduce leadership skills and awareness using practical activities and tasks to create an understanding of the implications of leadership. Participants will leave with modules A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J. Module K (first aid) and missions will need to be completed locally to complete the award. Each participant will leave with a logbook to chart progression, which must be signed by the leader overseeing their volunteering.

We have created a varied programme that is adapted to suit the needs of individual groups whilst enabling our team of instructors to pass on their extensive knowledge. Our team has extensive experience and has developed a range of leadership methods and techniques through years of coaching outdoor activities. Young Leaders will be taking part in and have the opportunity to lead activity sessions, such as rock climbing, high ropes, team building, and wide games. We have opted for a practical programme, carefully picking activities to match the requirements for the Young Leader’s training scheme.

Please note this weekend will mainly take place outdoors, therefore participants will need clothing for the conditions.

Once booked on the course, you’ll be sent a consent form and a nights away passport, these should be signed and handed in upon arrival.
